Meet The First Man To Make A Successful Jump From Plane Without Parachute

The man who performed the daredevil stunt and jumped out of a plane at 25,000 feet in the air, without a parachute, is the 42-year-old Luke Aikins.

He jumped out of a small propeller driven aircraft without any safety measures and land in a giant net. The effort did get its recognition as he made it to the Guinness Book of Records. He is first and only person to achieve the feat.

The whole thing was captured in some pretty dizzying footage that was shared by radio host Ken Rutkowski, he tweeted out the whole terrifying skydive.

After landing in the huge net – which must have been something of a relief – Mr Aikins said: “I’m almost levitating, it’s incredible.

“This thing just happened. I can’t even express how I feel.”

Luke is basically a skydiving expert and also a BASE jumper. He has worked on stunts for the ‘Iron Man’ movies and was one of the people that helped fellow stuntman Felix Baumgartner prepare for his record breaking jump from the edge of space.
